HEC Montréal wins 1st place in IT at Concours KGP 2025

November 19, 2025

A team from HEC Montréal performed brilliantly at the Concours KGP 2025 competition on November 8, 2025, by taking the honours in the case involving Information Technology (IT). The winning team consisted of Pauline Moine, Giulia Dalla Coletta, Mikaël Parent and Alini Barralet, and was coached by Jean-François Pilon, Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Management. Their performance is all the more remarkable, given that this is the second consecutive year that an HEC Montréal team has risen to the top of one of the competition’s categories.

Recognized as the largest inter-university project management case competition in Eastern Canada, Concours KGP brings together students from several Canadian universities every year to solve complex cases inspired by actual organizational challenges. This year was the 16th edition of this event.116 participants, forming 34 teams had to solve four cases during the competition.

HEC Montréal was proudly represented by three student teams in this competition, which was organized by ESG UQÀM. While one went on to become the winning team, the School’s other two teams also reached the finals in the IT and innovation categories. These excellent results exemplify the quality and depth of the students’ expertise, as well as their rigorous preparation.
