Four Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students, Naomi Brazeau, Alice Lafrenière, Eve Pinheiro St-Pierre and Alicia Ponce, have received the Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal. This commendation recognizes sustained volunteer involvement or an inspiring attitude with a positive influence on society.
Naomi Brazeau (Operations and Logistics Management, and Project Management) has supported academic success among students by providing tutoring sessions, training AEHEC’s academic vice-presidents and representing the 4,500-odd undergraduate students on teaching matters. Her commitment is further reflected in her involvement in sexual violence prevention initiatives and in the organization of events at the School.
As Chair of the 2025 Symposium GRH, Alice Lafrenière (Marketing and Management) relaunched this major event by bringing together 300 students, 50 volunteers and nearly 30 partners, thereby reinforcing the vibrancy of university-level competitions in Quebec. Through her dedication – especially with the Women in Business Committee and the Camp de vacances du lac Simon – she has championed women in leadership, inter-university collaboration and social commitment.
The commitment of Eve Pinheiro St-Pierre* (Professional Accounting) to HEC Montréal is driven by conviction. First as Vice-President of Communications, and subsequently as President of the HumaniTerre Group, she led a brand repositioning initiative and developed sustainable projects by mobilizing her teams. As Treasurer of the Club d’investissement responsable du Québec and an active tutor, she understands that lasting impact is based on consistency, rigour and human proximity.
Alicia Ponce (Finance and Economics) stands out for her tireless involvement in numerous interuniversity competitions, where she proudly represents the School and encourages her peers to participate. As a member of the AEHEC Finance Committee, she supports students in their professional development and promotes the role of women in finance, through panels and community-oriented events.
