Audrey Bélanger wins the Louise Dandurand French Publication Award

Audrey Bélanger, a PhD student in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, with an MSc in Organizational Development, has won the Louise Dandurand French Publication Award from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Society and Culture (FRQSC) for July 2026.

The purpose of this award is to recognize the importance of French-language research produced by the Quebec scientific community, and, in doing so, to promote it globally.

The award-winning paper entitled ‘À quoi bon s’exprimer si personne n’a le temps d’agir : comment la pression temporelle réduit l’engagement organisationnel chez les policiers’ [What’s the point of speaking up if no one has the time to act: how time pressure reduces organizational commitment among police officers] and published in the journal Humain et Organisation, was co-authored with Taylor Mackay (MSc 2024) and Professor Jean-François Harvey. The study – in which 326 Canadian police officers participated – aims to understand how time pressure influences the organizational commitment of frontline employees, by drawing on the conservation of resources theory and implicit theories of speaking up.

It is worth noting that Audrey Bélanger won the 2024 Best Paper Award from the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada as well as the 2022 Most Innovative Student Paper Award from the Academy of Management. Both awards were in the Organizational Behavior Division and were co-authored with Professor Harvey. In 2023, she also received the Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal.
