2020 Research and Teaching Awards

HEC Montréal recognized the excellence of its faculty through the 2020 School Research and Teaching Awards. The ceremony that normally takes place every year could not be held in person this year, but the awards were awarded, nonetheless.

Ten awards were presented this year, including the 2020 Pierre Laurin Research Award, which went to Guy Paré, and the 2020 Jean Guertin Award for excellence in teaching, which went to Jacques Roy.

 

CATEGORIES OF AWARDS


Best Business Case Award

For the outstanding quality of a case published in the Revue internationale de cas en gestion.

The winner is

For case Internationalizing a Sports Agency (A and B)


François-Albert Angers Award

Recognizing the quality of a textbook written in French by one or more professors, researchers, full-time faculty lecturers or full-time lecturers, and published during the year. To be eligible, the textbook must be intended for use in one or more courses.

for La comptabilité de management : prise de décision et contrôle

 
Charbonneau Award

This award recognizes the quality of a book written in a language other than French or one not specifically intended for use in a course. The book must have been published during the year by one or more professors, researchers, full-time faculty lecturers or full-time lecturers.

Innovation Award

This award recognizes the best teaching innovation designed and implemented during the year by one or more professors, researchers, full-time faculty lecturers or full-time lecturers.
