HEC Montréal rewarded its faculty for their excellence at this year’s research and teaching awards ceremony, on November 24.
Twelve awards were presented this year, including the 2021 Pierre Laurin Award for Research Excellence, which went to Georges Zaccour, and the 2021 Jean Guertin Award for Teaching Excellence, presented to Claude Laurin.
The ceremony was preceded by a tribute to the honorary professors named in 2021. The title was granted this year to Omar Aktouf, Alain d’Astous, Normand Turgeon, Wendy Reid and Michel Vézina.
The winners of the research and teaching excellence awards for 2020 also received their awards in a more official ceremony, since last year’s ceremony had been cancelled because of the pandemic situation.
