An MSc student, Marie-Ève Morissette, won the 2nd Jury Prize at the 2025 Génies en affaires [engineering in business] competition, organized by Acfas. Her innovative project, MicroMea, captured the attention of both the jury and the audience.

 

Transforming waste into energy

The MicroMea project, led by Marie-Ève Morissette from HEC Montréal and Juliette Gagnon from Université Laval stood out for its sustainable and local approach to transforming waste into energy.

MicroMea proposes an innovative solution for transforming organic waste into energy, thereby contributing to the reduction of the ecological footprint. This project aims to provide a sustainable alternative to traditional waste management methods, while producing renewable energy.
