HEC Montréal reconfirmed by EQUIS

January 7, 2026

HEC Montréal has successfully renewed its EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation for another five years – the maximum period granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This renewal reaffirms that the School meets the highest international standards in management education.

EQUIS accreditation is among the most prestigious distinctions for business schools worldwide. It is based on a comprehensive evaluation of multiple dimensions, including governance, strategy, program quality, research, internationalization, corporate engagement, and social responsibility. The process ensures the relevance and excellence of accredited institutions and promotes their continuous improvement.

HEC Montréal is part of an elite group of schools holding the “Triple Crown” of accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB International, and AMBA), a distinction shared by fewer than 1% of business schools globally. Since first earning EQUIS accreditation in 1999, the School has consistently upheld these standards, strengthening its position among the world’s most respected institutions.
