A copy of official transcripts for your university studies.
Letter of invitation
You must obtain a letter of invitation from the professor who agrees to supervise your research stay at HEC Montréal.
Please note that it is your responsibility to contact the professor to confirm the possibility of doing a research stay under his or her supervision. This contact must be made before completing the invitation request form.
Translation of documents
We require an official certified translation for any document drafted in a language other than French or English.

An official translator
Fees are $108.51, whether you are from Canada or from abroad.
These fees are subject to change without notice and are not refundable.
Payment methods accepted: credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, dual function cards (credit-debit).
Prepaid cards are not accepted.
Information to choose in the admission application online
Admission Term
Choose the term which corresponds to the start date of your stay. The terms are divided as follows:
Fall: from September to December
Winter: from January to April
Summer: from May to August
Academic degree
Choose:
"Undergraduate" for the BBA program
"Graduate" for the MSc program
"PHD" for the PhD program

Choose "Research stay"

You can leave your application and return later without losing anything.
An email regarding the documents to be submitted will be sent within three business days of the application being submitted. This may take longer due to statutory holidays.
In the email, you will find your HEC Montréal student ID number. This student ID number will allow you to access your HEC en ligne account.
You will then have five business days to submit the required documents in PDF format (PDF, 200 KB) through HEC en ligne > Documents > Documents Upload.
Certain original documents may be requested when you arrive.
You will receive an email, at the latest, 4 weeks after submitting your application, to let you know that a letter has been submitted to your HEC en ligne account.
Once you have been admitted, check whether you need to provide documents confirming your legal status in Canada.
