Staying relevant in the age of AI: Luc Lespérance publishes a new book

December 17, 2025

Artificial intelligence (AI) and its accelerating progress raise countless questions – about the technology itself and its impact on our personal and professional lives. Luc Lespérance, Lecturer in the Department of Information Technologies at HEC Montréal and an AI specialist, set out to share some of his insights in response to these questions.

He has just published Intelligence artificielle – comprendre, s’adapter et demeurer pertinent dans un monde qui s’accélère (Artificial Intelligence – Understand, Adapt and Stay Relevant in a Fast-Changing World) with JFD Éditions. Written for a broad audience – both newcomers and AI enthusiasts – the book offers a clearer perspective on what is happening and practical ideas on how to navigate these changes. This essay explores human and artificial intelligence, the economic and organizational impacts of AI, the acceleration of change, and the future of skills in an increasingly AI-driven world.
