Professor Guy Paré has been awarded a Doctorate Honoris Causa by Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) in recognition of his distinguished career and the sheer extent of his contributions to research in digital health and information systems.
His work has been instrumental in creating a better understanding of the role of digital technologies in the transformation of public health systems, both in Quebec and abroad.
“In receiving this honour today, I am filled with gratitude, and also with a renewed sense of responsibility: that of pressing ahead with rigourous and committed research that is deeply focused on the common good.”
This renowned researcher has been working closely for many years with AMU, one of the largest French-speaking universities and a major player in research in Europe, which distinguishes itself through the scope of its scientific activities and involvement in global partnerships. He was also a visiting scholar at the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche en Gestion d’Aix-Marseille (CERGAM), in 2023.
“Guy Paré’s research in digital health serves as a constant source of inspiration for the members of CERGAM. His work is characterized by the close links it establishes between academic research and tangible challenges facing healthcare systems.
