Johanne Brunet appointed Fellow of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation

Professor Johanne Brunet, CPA, CGA, MBA, PhD, is one of the 4 Fellows of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation who will accompany 13 PhD Scholars as they embark on an extraordinary leadership journey.

She was selected after a thorough, multi-tiered process, based on her record of excellence in research, her leadership as a public educator, her strong teaching and academic mentoring skills, and the relevance of her work, knowledge, and experiences related to the theme of the Foundation’s 2022-2025 Scientific Cycle, “Global Economies”.

 

An impressive career

Professor at HEC Montréal since 2005, Johanne Brunet is also a certified corporate director, an associate member of the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management, and Director of the “Catalytic Mindset” module of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal.

Her research interests and fields of teaching focus on creativity and innovation, international marketing, new product development, and cultural industries.

Ms. Brunet is the Chair of the Boards of Directors of the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC), and the Société d’habitation et de développement de Montréal (SHDM), in addition to sitting on the Board of the Théâtre du Rideau Vert.

In 2013, she was a finalist for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Business Professor of the Year Award, a highly prestigious international competition held by the EIU, a subsidiary of The Economist, in co-operation with the Hult International Business School. The same year, she received the Teaching Excellence Award in HEC Montréal.
