HEC Montréal is launching a new graduate program with a partner university: the American University of the Middle East (AUM), in Kuwait. This is the School’s very first partnership in Kuwait.

The program is designed to enable students at AUM to earn an MBA from the Kuwaiti university, as well as a Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Business Administration from HEC Montréal.

The program will welcome a first cohort of students starting in October 2021. Courses will be offered in English on the AUM campus.

The 2-year program divided into 8 modules. It comprises 26 courses, 9 of which will be offered by HEC Montréal. Those enrolled in the program will receive multidisciplinary management training, including accounting, economics, finance, human resources, management, marketing, operations and leadership. They will also become familiar with the main issues facing businesses, namely globalization, competitiveness, innovation and technology.

“For students at AUM, this pathway is an opportunity to add an international dimension to their training, and also to benefit from the expertise of both institutions while obtaining 2 diplomas,” said Hassan N. Taghvaï, executive director of international partnerships at HEC Montréal.
