May 26, 2021

Two prestigious international rankings of business schools have recognized the excellence of HEC Montréal and its programs, in particular its MBA.

Global Tier 1 – CEO Magazine

Once again this year, the School’s MBA program maintained its standing in Tier 1 of the 2021 Global MBA Rankings by CEO Magazine. In other words, the American magazine considers that ours is one of the best MBA programs in the world. HEC Montréal and Concordia University are the only Quebec universities to make this list.

The ranking, based on fact-based data from the past 4 years, considers mainly the characteristics of the experience offered to MBA students, including the quality of faculty (35% of the points allotted), cultural diversity (10%), class size (10%) and accreditations held by the school (9%).

The School was also recognized as one of the best business schools internationally for research, according to the UTD Top 100 Worldwide Business School Rankings. HEC Montréal, grouped with the Université de Montréal for purposes of this ranking, placed 94th in the world this year, and maintained its 6th place in Canada.

This ranking evaluates research performance by looking at publications in 24 journals specializing in different aspects of management. Each paper published by a school earns points, adjusted according to the number of contributing authors and their affiliations.
