A unique experience at Stanford offered to HEC Montréal students

December 15, 2025

Students enrolled in HEC Montréal’s Bachelor degree (BBA) and Master of Science (MSc) programs will have the opportunity to participate in an immersive summer school at Stanford University from 2026 onwards.

HEC Montréal is currently the only Canadian university to have entered into an agreement with Stanford for such a program.
This is in fact the International Honors Program (IHP), which will take place from June 20 to August 16, 2026. This program offers eight weeks of courses on the Stanford campus. A maximum of 15 members from the HEC Montréal student community will be selected to take courses in various subjects such as innovation, computer science, natural sciences, and humanities. The program also provides access to extracurricular activities through which students can immerse themselves in Stanford’s intellectual ecosystem and explore the rich cultural, entrepreneurial and natural resources of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Located in California, Stanford University is globally recognized for its academic excellence, high-quality research and culture of innovation. It consistently ranks among the world’s best universities in international rankings.
Participants whose grades are B or higher in all their courses will receive an IHP certificate of completion, as well as an official transcript from Stanford University certifying the courses taken, and the credits or grades earned during the summer session.
We should also mention that accommodation for participants is guaranteed and that they will receive a 20% discount on their tuition fees for this program.

Harvard and Berkeley

HEC Montréal has already been offering its BBA students the opportunity to attend a summer session at the prestigious American universities of Harvard and Berkeley since 2024. These programs are now also open to MSc students.
