Conductors: The Art of Leadership
Congratulations to Assistant Professor Yves Plourde, from the Department of International Business, who recently won both the CEIBS Best Paper Award and the Best Reviewer Award from the International Management Division of the Academy of Management!
First of all, Professor Plourde was rewarded for the quality of his paper entitled “Capturing Opportunities Across National Borders at Greenpeace: A Historical Investigation,” at the Academy’s 76th annual meeting, held from August 5 to 9, 2016, in Anaheim, California.
Professor Plourde’s paper was selected from the 220 presented at the event. As a finalist for the Gustavson School of Business Award for the Best Qualitative Paper in International Business, sponsored by the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria, it automatically qualified for the Academy’s International Management Division Best Paper Award. The award recognizes the paper’s significant contribution to international business theory development.
At the Division’s annual award ceremony on August 8, he was also presented with the International Management Division Best Reviewer Award.
Well done!
