A printed translation dictionary is allowed if the language of instruction of the course is English or Spanish (unless it is a language course).
If your mother tongue is not French, you may use a translation dictionary when the language of instruction of the course is French. If this applies to you, you must go to the Zone Info and have a sticker placed on your student card.
If you are allowed to use a calculator in an examination, you must ensure that it meets HEC Montréal standards.
If you are not present at an examination, you will receive a grade of 0 unless you have a valid reason for being absent. Only circumstances beyond your control will be deemed valid, e.g., a case of force majeure, an unforeseeable event, or an illness confirmed by a medical certificate.
Submit the appropriate form with supporting documents through HEC en ligne (Upload documents > Student file > Attachment Type > Absence with cause) within five working days after the date on which the examination was held.
In the event of illness, the medical certificate must confirm that you were unable to be present on the scheduled examination date. A medical form merely indicating that you consulted a doctor on a given date will not be considered sufficient.
A reply will be sent to your HEC Montréal email address within two to three weeks. No notice of absence will be accepted if you reported to the examination room.
