Two HEC Montréal student athletes, Victor Ah Yong and Louis Drolet, received a $2,000 scholarship each, in recognition of their outstanding academic performances and in support of their commitment to sports.
This scholarship, distributed by Fondation Aléo, was offered to them by Molson Coors, “to highlight their remarkable ability to strike a balance between sports and studies.” The awards ceremony took place on December 2, 2025, during a special event that also marked Fondation Aléo’s 40th anniversary. The Fondation’s mission is to help maximize the potential of student athletes from the province who are studying in a CEGEP or university.
Originally from Port-Louis, Mauritius, Victor Ah Yong is a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student and swimming champion who swims for the Carabins de l’Université de Montréal. As part of this team, he won the title of Rookie of the Year in 2023, and Athlete of the Year in 2025.
On the international stage, Victor Ah Yong swims for the Mauritian national team.
His best performances were achieved in 2025 at the RSEQ Championnat provincial universitaire Finals, and at the World Aquatic Championships in the 50 m, 100 m and 200 m butterfly.
A native of Lévis, Louis Drolet is also a BBA student. He is a receiver on the Carabins de l’Université de Montréal football team. The team garnered top honours this year by winning the Canadian University Championship and the famous Vanier Cup. This was the third time the Carabins were crowned champions and Louis Drolet’s second title.
A former player for the Cégep Beauce-Appalaches Condors football team, Louis Drolet quickly distinguished himself by earning a spot on the university all-star team in his first season.
