PhD students rewarded for their teaching excellence

For the fourth year in a row, HEC Montréal celebrated the teaching excellence of its PhD students who taught one or more courses during their doctoral studies.

The three winners in 2025, who each received a $1,500 scholarship are:

• Debora Sara Anspach
• Felix Giroux (who won this award for the second time)
• Ha-Loan Phan

The above winners were selected based on a rigorous analysis of student evaluations for courses taught in the Fall 2024, Winter 2025 and Summer 2025 terms.

There were also nine finalists this year, who each received a $500 scholarship:

• Anaïs Del Bono
• Karl Janelle
• Frank-Olivier Garané
• Charlotte Pellegrino (winner in 2024)
• Miguel Milanez
• Ali Siddiqui (winner in 2024)
• Yuhan Song
• Adrien Simonnot
