HEC Montréal student honoured by the Canadian Tax Foundation

May 7, 2025

Shawn Woodman, a student in the Maîtrise en droit (LL. M) – fiscalité [Master of Laws (LLM) – Taxation] program, received the MTax Award of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) on April 3 this year. The Foundation also presented an award to Marie-Maude Lefebvre, LL. B., M. Fisc., a master’s student in taxation at Université de Sherbrooke. These $2,000 scholarships recognize the accomplishments of the student who has obtained the highest cumulative average in their cohort.

“My Master’s degree course at HEC Montréal was extremely rewarding, largely thanks to the continued support and dedication of my teachers throughout my journey. I would like to thank my colleagues who supported me throughout my master’s program as well as my family, without whom this award would not have been possible. This generous scholarship from the Canadian Tax Foundation further motivates me to develop my skills and actively participate in the tax community.”
