An HEC Montréal student wins the PMI-Montréal scholarship

Marianne Gagné, a final-year student in a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program (Project Management and Marketing mixed option), was awarded one of the 13 PMI-Montréal academic scholarships for 2023-2024.

This academic excellence scholarship, worth $1,000, is awarded to candidates who are members of the Quebec student community, on the basis of an excellent academic record, including the submission of an essay and a demonstrated interest in project management.

The objectives of the PMI-Montréal scholarship program are as follows:

  • Promoting adherence to PMI-Montréal’s values of quality and excellence in project management;
  • Recognition of graduate training of the next generation of students;
  • Fostering academic excellence in project management;
  • Encouraging philanthropy among the 8 universities in its territory that offer graduate training in project management for a minimum of 12 credits.

“I am very honoured and touched to be a recipient of the PMI-Montréal scholarship and to represent HEC Montréal.I look forward to contributing more to project management and am very grateful for the support I have received. I shall now be able to pursue further studies in project management, either a master’s degree or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.”
