HEC Montréal finishes 2nd in national sustainable development competition

The John Molson School of Business Sustainability Case Competition

May 6, 2024

The team representing the HEC Montréal MBA program at the national sustainable development case-solving competition finished in 2nd place.

Organized annually by the John Molson School of Business, this 3rd edition took place in Montréal from April 5 to 6 and brought together more than 40 teams from various universities across Canada.

The participating cohorts went head-to-head in a sustainable development case study. Their mandate was to develop a sustainable business strategy for a blockchain startup and propose solutions and recommendations that bear in mind both the financial implications and the environmental impact of the mining industry.

The MBA team representing the School consisted of Laetitia Dandavino-Tardif, Ahmed Farzan, Jacob Power and Yoann Le Priol and received the unfailing support of Jean-Michel Champagne, Sustainable Development Officer and Lecturer at HEC Montréal

The University Competitions Service thanks all those who helped the team in its preparation and acknowledges the financial contribution of the HEC Montréal Alumni Association.
