Decision Sciences Professor David Ardia has been appointed Associate Editor of two academic journals in the field of statistics, which appear on the Journal Citation Reports list:
The first one is an American journal established in 1996 that publishes articles on statistical software along with the corresponding source code.
The second one has existed since 1985 and is the leading journal specialized in the field of forecasting.
As an Associate Editor for both journals, David Ardia’s responsibilities will include recruiting qualified referees to comment on the manuscripts for which he will be the designated editor. He will then have to summarize the comments and participate in deciding if these articles should be published or not.
About David Ardia
David Ardia is an IVADO professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal. Trained in quantitative methods for finance, he has a keen interest in machine learning and natural language processing methods for asset allocation, risk management, and economic forecasting. He is a regular member at GERAD, Quantact and Fin-ML, an associate researcher at OBVIA and the Penner Institute, and an instructor at DataCamp.
