At the 2nd Business and Management Case Competition (BMCC) held by Universidad Panamericana – Guadalajara campus, in Mexico, from October 23 to 28, the HEC Montréal student delegation won 2nd place overall.
The team members, Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) students Benjamin Couture, Cassandra Desroches, Alexis Garneau and Tomy Pelletier, were accompanied by Professor Anne Bourhis, Academic Director of the University Competitions Department. The advice of Full-time Lecturer Fabian Moreno was also much appreciated.
In the qualifying rounds, they competed against 11 delegations from elsewhere in the world, in 3 cases:
The School’s team finished 1st in its division and then faced off against 3 delegations in the final round, from the Babeș-Bolyai (Romania), British Columbia and Panamericana – Mexico City campus universities. This round was attended by Francisco Jiménez Ruiz, President and CEO of Cloe, the subject of the final and deciding case.
