Professor Yany Grégoire has won the international Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), for the second time. Note that the JAMS is included on the prestigious Financial Times list.
Only five of the Journal’s close to 100 reviewers received this honour, and Professor Grégoire is the only one from a Canadian university on this short, selective list. The award is normally presented officially at the annual Academy of Marketing Science conference, but this year will be announced on the JAMS and American Marketing Association communication platforms.
Grégoire has held the Omer DeSerres Chair of Retailing since June 2018, and previously directed the Chair in Service Marketing and Customer Experience from 2014 to 2018. He has a PhD in Marketing from the University of Western Ontario and an MSc in Management from HEC Montréal.
His main fields of research are relationship marketing, service failures and service recovery. In addition to the JAMS, he has had many papers published in other leading journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Retailing, MIT Sloan Management Review and Personnel Psychology.
He was a professor at Washington State University for six years before joining the HEC Montréal faculty in 2010.
