Over $1 million in scholarships for our PhD students and postdoctoral interns

In 2017–2018, 17 PhD in Administration students and 6 postdoctoral interns at HEC Montréal received just over $1 million in research scholarships from granting agencies. They were selected by different expert committees, based on the exceptional quality of their academic records and their research potential.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS D) and doctoral fellowship (PGS D) from the SSHRC

This competition, by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), is open to all doctoral students in Canada and is among the most competitive. Candidates must have an exemplary academic record and very high research potential.

Canada Graduate Scholarship — Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement from the SSHRC (CGS-MSFSS)

This SSHRC scholarship is intended to help high-calibre Canadian graduate students holding Canada Graduate Scholarships to carry out part of their research abroad and establish international bonds and contact networks.

NSERC postdoctoral fellowship

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) awards this postdoctoral fellowship for a maximum of two years.

FRQSC postgraduate research scholarships (B2)

The Fonds de recherche du Québec — Société et culture (FRQSC) B2 program awarded scholarships to five MHC Montréal PhD students whose research topics meet FRQSC objectives.

FRQSC Scholarship for internship in a practice environment (BSMP)

The FRQSC awards these scholarships to graduate students looking to carry out an internship of two to six months in a practice environment.

MESSS postdoctoral scholarship (PBEEE)

This is part of the merit scholarship program for foreign students (PBEEE), managed by the FRQNT and funded by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec (MEES).

The scholarships are awarded to international students, with the aim of creating cultural connections and encouraging possible common scientific research projects.

Mitacs Accelerate scholarships

Mitacs Accelerate is Canada’s most extensive research internship program. It allows graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and university professors to extend the scope of their research by teaming up with private companies.

Mitacs Globalink research award

The Mitacs Globalink research award provides funding for senior undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in Canada to conduct 12- to 24-week research projects at universities overseas.
