December 9, 2016

Three graduates of HEC Montréal’s D.E.S.S. en comptabilité professionnelle – CPA are among the 13 Quebecers to make CPA Canada’s Common Final Examination (CFE) honour roll.

Julie Cardinal achieved the highest standing in the country and is thus the proud recipient of the prestigious Governor General’s Gold Medal, which comes with a $5,000 cash prize.

Fellow alumni Maxime Laliberté and Amélie Payette also earned a spot on the nation-wide honour roll for their outstanding results.

In addition, 136 graduates of the Specialized Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting – CPA program, 32 National Program candidates and four interns with HEC Montréal’s Department of Accounting Sciences passed the two comprehensive exams. The CFE is a crucial step that all candidates must complete to obtain their professional CPA designation.
