This course introduces the main strategies, approaches, tools, and practices in integrated supply chain management, along with challenges in their implementation. By emphasizing core concepts, emerging trends, and practical applications, this course equips students to critically analyze supply chains, apply suitable methods, and improve operations across sectors, industries, and global networks.
The seminar provides students with a solid understanding of supply chain systems and, once they have acquired sufficient experience, enables them to:
- Understand and apply integrated supply chain management concepts, including innovative and emerging practices.
- Contribute to the design, adaptation, and implementation of a logistics or supply chain system in diverse business or non-profit contexts.
- Analyze the performance of a supply chain or logistics system and identify improvement opportunities.
- Recognize the value of logistics systems (MRP II/ERP, JIT, DRP, etc.) and select the most appropriate tools.
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop strategies to enhance resilience and continuity.
- Understand the role of collaboration among stakeholders to optimize performance and create network-wide value.
- Apply lean, agile, and hybrid supply chain principles to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
