Are you looking to further your education, find your path, or advance your professional goals? HEC Montréal creates the conditions for unlocking your full potential.
Three researchers from HEC Montréal have designed a management tool that improves emergency aeromedical transport in remote areas.
PhD student Joëlle Cormier, Associate Professor Valérie Bélanger and Professor Marie-Ève Rancourt from the Department of Logistics and Operations Management have developed a simulator that compares various hospital plane fleet compositions.
Their tool factors in aircraft characteristics, timeframes, carrying capacity, weather considerations, breakdowns, etc. It notably decreases waiting times and transfer times to hospitals for patients.
