TAGE MAGE is an admissions test that measures the skills of applicants seeking to begin or continue pursuing business studies. It assesses verbal, problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
You have the opportunity to take the TAGE MAGE test twice in a calendar year, once between January and June and once between July and December.
You can register for the TAGE MAGE test even if you are not applying to HEC Montréal.
If you have a disability and require accommodations to take the test, please email us at sae.soutienhandicap@hec.ca once you have registered.
The registration fee is $192.91. Enrol online and make a secured payment up to seven days before the date of the test.
To learn where and how the test is given in Canada and abroad, see the TAGE MAGE website.
To cancel your registration, write to reg.examen@hec.ca. Please note that no reimbursements will be made.
You can change the date of your test with no additional fees by going to the online registration platform at least seven days before the date of the test for which you initially registered.
Test score is considered an important part of your application for the Master’s Degrees, MBA and PhD. You should therefore have a score comparable to the average obtained by the candidates. Consult the minimum recommended score under the "Admission" tab of your program.
You will receive an email explaining how to view your test result online a few days after the test.
You are responsible for submitting your result to the university to which you are applying.
Test score is valid for five years.
