The HEC Montréal delegation won six podiums and came in 3rd in the overall rankings of Happening Marketing 2025, which is regarded as the leading interuniversity marketing competition in Eastern Canada. Moreover, the Committee of the Year Award was presented to the HEC Montréal Competitions Committee, and Elizabeth Fortin, a member of the Sports team, was named MVP (Most Valuable Player).
Nearly 600 people from 12 Canadian universities participated in the event that took place from March 21 to 23, 2025 at UQAM’s School of Management (ESG UQAM), under the theme “Notre dernière danse” [Our last dance]. The School team, comprising over 40 Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students, won plaudits for its creativity and high-quality presentations.
HEC Montréal thus became one of only two academic institutions in 2024-2025 to be ranked in the top 3 of the four competitions of the Regroupement étudiant des facultés d’administration de l’est du Canada [Students’ Association of Management Faculties of Eastern Canada] (RÉFAEC): Sommet GRH (1st place), Jeux du commerce (2nd), Financial Open (3rd), Happening Marketing (3rd).
