Dominique Anglade and Luciano Barin Cruz to head Executive Education

Dominique Anglade and Luciano Barin Cruz are the newly appointed directors of Executive Education HEC Montréal. They will serve as Executive Director and Academic Executive Director respectively. The director of HEC Montréal, Federico Pasin, announced their appointment on Monday, September 15 and they will both officially take office on October 6, 2025.
“Their experience and commitment will enable them to dynamically and creatively nurture the development of Executive Education HEC Montréal, which is both a strategic asset for HEC Montréal and a wonderful vector of support for our organizations. In light of the stimulating challenges that exist in the world of executive education, I now believe it is essential to increase the importance given to the academic component in the development of our training programs. This specifically involves a renewed approach, further leveraging the richness and diversity of knowledge from our professors and research units.”

HEC Montréal seeks to harness the combined expertise of Dominique Anglade and Luciano Barin Cruz through this dual appointment, in order to enhance the impact of Executive Education HEC Montréal on major current issues, both locally and internationally. The School also specifies that successfully implemented Executive Education HEC Montréal initiatives such as First Nations Executive Education, Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), NEXT AI and École des dirigeants Afrique, will carry on being rolled out with the same rigour and determination. These initiatives will continue to support the emergence of talent and have a lasting impact within the communities they serve.
About Dominique Anglade
Dominique Anglade holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and an MBA from HEC Montréal. Prior to joining the School as an Adjunct Professor in 2023, she assumed several corporate leadership roles during her career at Procter & Gamble, Nortel and McKinsey, and as CEO of Montréal International. She has served as Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, Deputy Premier of Quebec and party leader. Since her arrival at HEC Montréal, she has been an ally in pursuing the School’s mission through her sustained involvement in several projects.
About Luciano Barin Cruz
Luciano Barin Cruz is a Professor in the Department of Management and Director of the IDEOS hub and has been at HEC Montréal since 2009. Having contributed to the design of several study programs, he will leverage his experience in academic coordination for the benefit of Executive Education HEC Montréal. Over the years, he has distinguished himself through the quality of his teaching in executive education and his ability to support organizations in their strategic orientations. His international background has led him to collaborate on projects with global organizations from the private and not-for-profit sectors. He plays a key role in the partnership between HEC Montréal and the University of Oxford and leads the SEED network, dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of organizations in developing regions, including Africa, Latin America and South Asia.
