Women in leadership: excellent performance by an MBA delegation in Toronto

March 8, 2024

An MBA delegation from HEC Montréal comprising Ruchira Choudhury, Laetitia Dandavino-Tardif, Charles Dreyer, and Alina Rudman, won 2nd place in the Reimagining Women in Leadership 2024 case competition. The event took place on March 2, 2024 at the Ted Rogers School of Management in Toronto Metropolitan University.

Participating teams had one week to resolve a complex situation in which a leader lacked support within her company regarding an organizational change project that had been assigned to her. They then had 20 minutes to present their solution to a panel of judges, plus a 10-minute Q&A with them.

The proposal from the School quartet—focusing on the importance of leveraging relationships with colleagues, resources, and personal qualities, understanding other people’s motivations and exploiting common interests to build a strong coalition—was noted by the judges.

The University Competitions Service would like to thank the members of the School community who accompanied the team, particularly Jean-Michel Champagne, Dominique Anglade and Joanie Coutu-Bellerose, as well as the HEC Montréal Alumni Association and the MBA Student Association for their financial support.
