Two high-level student athletes win awards for academic excellence

Two HEC Montréal student athletes received scholarships for academic excellence from the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec (FAEQ) this fall.
They are Tristan Jussaume, who received a $4,000 scholarship from Planète Courrier, an event partner, and Justin Carpentier, also winning a $4,000 scholarship, from event sponsor Stelpro.
Justin Carpentier, enrolled in the Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) program, is a competitive snowboarder (alpine).

- 5th place in parallel giant slalom at the 2022 North American Cup in Tremblant
- 12th place in parallel slalom at the 2021 Junior Worlds in Russia
Tristan Jussaume is a road racing cyclist and is also enrolled in a certificate program at HEC Montréal.

- 19th in the under-23 category time trial at the World Championships, in September 2022
- Canadian champion in the under-23 category time trial, for the 2nd straight year, in June 2022
This scholarship is connected to the Bonneville 808 Challenge, a cycling event organized by the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec (FAEQ), held in the Mont-Tremblant region in September.
All in all, 53 student athletes shared a total of $173,000 awarded by 21 event sponsors and partners.
