Among the world’s top 100 universities for management
HEC Montréal stands out in the QS rankings

HEC Montréal is one of the world’s 100 best universities for Business and Management, in the top 35 in North America and the top 5 in Canada, according to the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The exercise evaluated 1,200 universities and the rankings are based on the following criteria:
- the institution’s reputation – over 80,000 academics surveyed worldwide;
- employer reputation – responses from over 40,000 employers around the globe;
- research influence (citations per paper and h-index) – sourced from the Scopus database.
Note that while the Université de Montréal is listed in the rankings, the results for business and management are attributable to HEC Montréal.
The School’s performance and reputation can also be credited for the 50-point gain by the Université de Montréal in the overall ranking in the Social Sciences and Management category, moving up from 160th place last year to 107th this year.
