HEC Montréal launches a new Certificate in Business Analytics

January 19, 2016

HEC Montréal is launching a new Certificate in Business Analytics, to be offered starting in fall 2016. The 30-credit program will familiarize students with best statistical practices in the management field.

“The goal of this new certificate is to give students the tools they need to use and analyze big data within a firm and its industry,” says Ferdaous Somrani, the program co-ordinator. “Quantitative methods are indispensable tools for decision-support processes in an open and highly competitive market.”

More specifically, this training in quantitative methods will introduce students to data exploitation and visualization techniques, using well-known software in this market (SAS, SAS SQL, R, SPSS and Tableau Public).

This addition means that HEC Montréal now offers 27 certificates in all fields of management. The School’s certificate programs are intended to provide training to complement work experience or as professional development for people looking to hone their knowledge in a given field. They offer excellent flexibility, and are up to date, relevant and practical.

For more information on the new Certificate in Business Analytics, you can sign up for the webinar to be held on March 8, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
