Anthony Tahan, a recent graduate of the Maîtrise en droit (LL. M) – fiscalité [Master of Laws (LLM) – Taxation] program, received the MTax Award of the Canada Tax Foundation on March 31, 2026, for having obtained the highest CGPA in his cohort.
“This scholarship serves as a recognition of the work, discipline and commitment that I invested throughout my master’s program. Above all, it represents the culmination of a challenging journey—pursued with rigour—that successfully nurtured my intellectual curiosity. My experience at HEC Montréal provided a stimulating structure for pushing my boundaries, engaging in deep reflection and fostering growth, and this is already having a practical impact on my professional practice.”
This advanced program in tax law is offered jointly with the Faculty of Law at Université de Montréal in the Hélène Desmarais Building, at the heart of the city’s business district. It covers topics such as international transactions, tax litigation, corporate taxation and inheritance.
