HEC Montréal pays tribute to Arch G. Woodside

Arch_G_Woodside_e Professor Arch G. Woodside, an influential figure in the field of marketing, will receive an honorary doctorate, at the recommendation of HEC Montréal, at the convocation for post-graduate Université de Montréal students on May 31.

He is a professor at the Carroll School of Management of Boston College and has made noteworthy theoretical and methodological contributions in the fields of marketing, psychology, business and tourism. His research findings, recognized for their innovative nature, have been published in the leading scientific journals in these sectors.  

Professor Woodside is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, the Society for Marketing Advances, the International Academy for the Study of Tourism and the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy. He co-founded the annual symposium on advertising and consumer psychology organized by the Society for Consumer Psychology.

Professor Woodside holds a PhD from Pennsylvania State University. He is Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious Journal of Business Research, and a widely cited authority, having authored or co-authored close to 50 books and some 250 articles published in scholarly journals. He is a much sought-after speaker, giving graduate and post-graduate seminars and specialized training to research faculty worldwide.
