Implementation of Business Optimization Models

MATH 60617A
Development of modeling skills from various applications in Logistics and Operations Management, Human Resources Management, Finance or other areas.
In this course, the student will learn to: 1) recognize the type of model adapted to a management problem; 2) formulate this problem using an appropriate mathematical model; 3) implement and solve this model using a dedicated software (e.g. GAMS, the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio software) validate, analyze and present the results obtained.
Themes covered

1 : Introduction to mathematical modelling
2 : Implementation of an optimization model using a dedicated software
3 : Linear models
