Globalization, post-development and social innovation

This course proposes alternative approaches to local and international development, particularly post-development, from the perspective of social innovation. It promotes an innovative view of projects dedicated to development in different countries. The term work will be developed in partnership with international consultants.
This course aims to introduce the student to the context of local, territorial and international development from a perspective of social innovation. Through an interactive, reflexive and critical approach, the student will understand the importance of the social dimension of international management and the responsibility of managers in setting up methods and tools to promote new forms of development. The course aims to familiarize master's students with several approaches to development that go beyond the dominant economic vision, providing a historical and global vision of organizations working in the field of local and international development, learning their seminal assumptions, tools and methodologies. The term work will be developed in partnership with international consultants who work with social and sustainable development projects. It is a concrete application that will add value to the curriculum of the students who will follow the course.
