Enterprise Resource Planning in Supply Chain

OPER 40513A
The course provides an in-depth study of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to understand their logic and their role in integrating organizational processes and contributing to operational efficiency. Students will then apply this knowledge in a simulated environment where they use SAP S/4HANA as if working in a real company. Through this simulation, students explore and apply key modules: Material Management, Production Planning, Sales and Distribution, and Logistics Execution. Students learn to execute end-to-end processes and to understand how decisions in one department or module affect others across the organization. They also develop the ability to evaluate the financial impacts of operational and strategic decisions. The course combines theory and hands-on application to build an integrated, critical, and practical understanding of ERP, preparing students to act effectively in complex logistical and organizational environments.
