Examine the role of digital technologies as a catalyst for transforming an organization's business model and the key skills involved in managing the transformation.
Organizations are evolving in a complex environment: technological advancements, globalization, strategic alliances, changes in workforce and customer base, among other factors. Their survival and competitiveness depend on their ability to transform their business model and by integrating digital technologies into its components. Digital transformation refers to the use of telecommunications, mobile technologies, social media, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence in the renewal of organizations, their operations, and their product and service offerings. This transformation will be studied from three perspectives:
