Decision-Making Tools

GEST 56303A
This module provides the basic tools necessary in today's business world. It is divided into three conceptual blocks: the diagnostic , the decision making and the control phases. Emphasis will be placed on tools from economics, finance and accounting and on the concept of governance and controls.
It will stress how each tool is not limited to a single phase but it is really part of a continuing process. Our aim is to integrate the
tools, from the perspective of a decision maker. The approach is hands-on. The module will not only communicate the concepts but
will also allow to put these concepts into practice. Furthermore, the morning reflections will allow to integrate the concepts covered
during the sessions. Given the variety of topics covered in this module, the pedagogical approach will include lectures, case analysis,
presentations and case discussions.
