An esteemed educator, he was an HEC Montréal Professor from 1969 to 1999. He served as MBA Program Director (1972–1975), in addition to helping create the Department of Production and Operations Management. He directed that Department (1975–1980 and 1987–1992) and penned several books on that topic.
