A Professor at HEC Montréal (1962–1978) and a Professor and Dean at McGill University, he devoted his career to teaching and public service, in particular as CBC President (1972–1975). At HEC Montréal, he headed up the Department of Administrative Science (1963), directed the executive education centre (1964–1966) and served as Associate Director of the School (1966).
