An HEC Montréal alumnus (1975), this globe-trotting diplomat was one of the first Anglophones to attend the School. Today, as Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and Rector of the United Nations University in Tokyo, he is making an exceptional contribution to raising Canada’s international profile. His duties allow him to combine his interests in research and university teaching.
