Sophie Brault, Female Student Athlete of the Year in Team Sports

HEC Montréal BBA student Sophie Brault, who plays defence on the Université de Montréal Carabins women’s hockey team, was named Female Student Athlete of the Year in Team Sports at the 28th Quebec University Sports Awards Gala, hosted by the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec (FAEQ), on November 27.

This award comes on top of the other honours Sophie has racked up in 2013: she received the R.W. Pugh Fair-Play Award, in March, and tied for the Athlete of the Year award in the women’s hockey category, presented at the University of Montréal’s 18th Carabins Méritas Gala, in April. She also finished the 2012-2013 season as the top defence player in the country (points per game).
