Five student athletes from HEC Montréal honoured at the Carabins Gala Méritas

Five HEC Montréal students received awards at the 2018-2019 season Gala Méritas for the Université de Montréal Carabins sports excellence program, held on April 3 at the Bonsecours Market.

First of all, hockey player and Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) student Jessica Cormier received the highest honour at the Gala, recognized as Athlete of the Year. A brief list of the achievements that earned her this award:

• With 11 goals and 20 points in 20 games, she was ranked 1^st and 2^nd, respectively, by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ).
• For the second straight year, she was declared “outstanding Quebec athlete” by the RSEQ.
• She earned herself a spot on the first RSEQ and U SPORTS all-star squads, and made a huge contribution to her team in bringing home the bronze medal in the Canadian championships. 

She was also named Athlete of the Year in her discipline, along with four other School students on Carabins teams:inq étudiants de HEC Montréal ont été récompensés lors du Gala Méritas de la saison 2018-2019 du programme de sport d’excellence des Carabins de l’Université de Montréal, le 3 avril 2019, au Marché Bonsecours.
