HEC Montréal has the final word in a public speaking contest

February 18, 2021

One student, 2 alumni and an HEC Montréal employee turned in great performances at a public speaking and speech evaluation contest held by Toastmasters International, on February 6.

They are:

  • Jean-François Bertrand, EMBA 2014 graduate – 1st place speech evaluation, in French
  • Michel R. Filion, HEC Montréalemployee – 1st place speech, in English
  • André-Robert Marsan, current part-time MBA student and B. Gest. 2018 graduate – 1st place speech, in French, and
  • Michael Rodrigues, EMBA 2020 graduate – 1st place speech evaluation, in English

The competition brought together a number of Toastmasters clubs from one of the areas of the association’s Montréal division, including those at Concordia University and HEC Montréal. Because of the pandemic, it was held virtually.

Our 4 winners will now move on to the division championships, to be held on March 20, also by videoconference.
