Market Secrets #13 - Transport, Defense and Construction

“Market Secrets” is a series of events, each covering different industries, offering informal meetings with mentors who have inspiring careers.

For this edition, we are looking for professionals working in the transportation, defence, and construction sectors, from a wide range of backgrounds: large and small companies, agencies, start-ups, entrepreneurship, government, public service, associations, and more.

Mentors' Mission:

• No formal presentation is required
• Introduce yourself, talk about your background and your profession, your interest in the field, share advice with the student community, and answer their questions

Format:

Each mentor meets successively with small groups of 1 to 3 students around a table.

Location:

Hélène-Desmarais building (downtown), conference center Claude-Séguin (A.373, 3rd floor)

Event schedule:

• 4:30 PM: arrival of mentors
• 4:45 PM: arrival of students 
• 5:15 to 5:35 PM: welcome speech
• 5:35 PM to 7:15 PM: student/mentor meetings
• 7:15 PM to 8:00 PM: open networking time between students and mentors over cocktails and appetizers 

Students' Profile:

• Second-cycle students (DESS, M.Sc., MBA, etc.) with a keen interest in the fields presented 
• The event will nonetheless be open to all HEC Montréal students 
• Registration will be required to participate 
• Students will have reviewed the list of mentors beforehand and will thus be able to come prepared with specific issues or questions
