More specifically, the students will become familiar with the modelling of decision problem using different decision criteria and utility functions, scenario analysis, Monte-Carlo simulation and decision trees. Specialised software for the solution of specific problems will also be presented. Analysis and interpretation of results will be given as much emphasis as technical aspects
- Sensitivity analysis
- Best-case worst-case and regret analysis
- Assessment of objective and subjective probability
- Monte-Carlo simulation
- Properties of risk measures
- Decision trees
- Value of flexibility/information
- Expected utility theory and its paradoxes
